While we do our best for voice recognition to be as accurate as possible, we do not guarantee accuracy of voice-to-text transcription.
We provide suggestions and calculations to help with decision-making, but we do not guarantee results or outcomes from using our service.
1. Scope
This Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information related to your use of PingCalc. By using the Service, you consent to this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Data: name, email, password, plan level.
- Billing Data: payment method and transaction details processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage Data: suggestion counts, trip inputs (payout, miles, minutes, flags such as "empty return"), device/browser, IP, logs, and diagnostic data.
- Support Data: content you send to us when you contact support.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
- Provide the Service: to authenticate, process requests, and deliver features (Contract).
- Billing: to process payments, perform proration, manage renewals (Contract/Legal obligation).
- Improve and Secure: to analyze performance, prevent abuse (Legitimate interests).
- Marketing: to send product updates (Consent/Legitimate interests; you can opt out).
- Compliance: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests (Legal obligation).
4. Sharing of Information
We share personal data with service providers that process data on our behalf, including:
- Payments: Stripe
- Hosting & Infrastructure: Vercel, cloud providers
- Back-end/Automation: 0Dev or similar platforms
- AI/Transcription: model providers used to process minimal inputs
- Analytics & Monitoring: as configured by us
We may disclose information to comply with law, protect rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion at any time.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise rights, contact support@pingcalc.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority where applicable.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
10. Do Not Track
Our Service does not respond to Do Not Track signals. You may adjust cookie settings as described in our Cookie Policy.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy; the updated version will be posted with a new "Effective" date.
